NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The National Summer Meet is Swim England's biggest domestic swimming event. It is a long course event and qualification is based on the top ranked swimmers in each event are invited to compete at the British Swimming Summer Championships.

The next ranked swimmers are invited to compete at the Nationals. The rankings are on swimmer' performances at level 1 meets between a qualification window, typically between March and May of the same calendar year.

The boys’ age groups are 13/14 Yrs, 15 Yrs, 16 Yrs, 17 Yrs and 18 Yrs / Over while the girls’ age groups are 12/13 Yrs, 14 Yrs, 15 Yrs, 16 Yrs and 17 Yrs / Over.


National Summer Meet 2019

  • When: 31 July – 4 August 2019

  • Address: Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheaf Street, Sheffield, S1 2BP
  • Who: Swimmers ranked 21 – 39 (or 21 – 35 for 800m & 1500m Freestyle) in their respective age group.
