Becoming a member
If you are interested in joining the Club, please complete the form below.
Please include your child/ren’s age, swimming ability and any times if you have them.
You will then be asked to attend a Swim Test to assess your child to see if they are appropriate to join a’ learn to swim’ session or one of the Competitive Squads. There is currently a waiting list for the ‘learn to swim’ programme and you will be informed of the likely wait after a Swim Test. When a position in the Learn to Swim programme becomes available, you will receive a message offering a place in the Club. If you accept this, you will be told the session time and Membership forms will be sent to you. There is no automatic progression from the Learn to Swim Programme into the Competitive Squad. Entry into the Competitive Squad is dependant on ability, attitude, potential and space. We no longer hold a traditional waiting list for the competitive squad. We have children as young as 8 in our Competitive lanes. Cathy Maggs (Coach to Sealions and Dolphins) will provide feedback after a swim trial and discuss your child’s development and possible future entry into the Club.
Once a Club member, you will be required to pay two different membership fees. The first is the Registration fee that is due annually in January, this fee covers any ASA registration fees the Club is required to pay. The second fee is the Squad fee that is due monthly by standing order. This fee is averaged over the 12 months and includes a small number of cancelled sessions.
